The United States has awakened from its winter slumber. Meanwhile, in Europe, the fascist left has taken over its dens and is snoring away contentedly. In Spain, the Minister for Equality declared Catholic norms to be “discriminatory.” What was the issue? The refusal to administer Holy Communion to an openly homosexual mayor of Torrecaballeros. According to the head of this completely unnecessary and harmful institution (similarly so in Poland), denying Holy Communion to an actively homosexual individual was “obviously and openly contrary to the constitution” and violated the principles of “non-discrimination” and the pursuit of equality.
“No sector, no administration, and I believe not even the Church, can exempt itself from constitutional rules of equality and non-discrimination,” said the minister, whose name is irrelevant since it’s not worth wasting disk space.
The Minister for Equality expressed the expectation that “the Church will change its application of its laws protecting the reverence for the Holy Sacrament and interpret canon law ‘in light of the Constitution.’” To that end, the politician announced the intention to hold a meeting between ministry representatives and the country’s bishops.
The late and greatly missed Professor Bogusław Wolniewicz (eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in eternal peace) aptly claimed—quite rightly—that “among the many negative traits of leftism, the most prominent is stupidity.” The thesis of one of the greatest minds of Polish conservatism remains relevant and is continually reinforced by the initiatives of red fascists.
Interestingly, red fascists never consider proposing something like banning circumcision. Why? Because no red fascist wants to drive a speeding car into a slow-moving steamroller. They still have that much common sense!
The Catholic Church cannot agree to the demands of the Spanish left for the most obvious reasons. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states clearly: “Whoever desires to receive Holy Communion must be in a state of grace. If one is aware of having committed grave sin, one must first go to the sacrament of reconciliation before receiving Communion.” And there we have it—this is what the Spanish red fascists are after. They aim to redefine fundamental concepts, in this case, declaring that homosexuality is not just “not a grave sin” but not a sin at all!
If that claim were accepted as true, then the mayor of Torrecaballeros could receive Holy Communion (of course—by hand), and the La Roja constitution would preserve its red-brown virtue.
Someone might think this is happening in distant Spain and that “it’s not our problem.” Not true. In December of last year, a petition was submitted to the Polish Parliament proposing a ban on children’s confession. They always target the foundations of Latin civilization. And interestingly, they always show remarkable tolerance for the operators of road steamrollers. Because, after all, they are citizens of the world.
